Latest News

January 2001: Got a copy of the marriage certificate of Dr. John Vacy Lyle (m. 28/2/1854) which gives his wife's name (Mary Priscilla King Norway) & the names of their fathers. Also the occupations of the males. It seems that JVL had at least one child (dau. Mary King Vacy Lyle, b. 29/1/1855) before emigrating to South Africa.
